US company plans to expand into its first European country

A US-based business support and coaching franchise, The Alternative Board (TAB), is looking for franchise owners to expand the brand into the UK. The Alternative Board is targeting executives looking for a change of career or consultants wanting to add a new income stream to become franchise owners and aid the company's expansion into its first European country.

Martin Allison, Chairman of The Alternative Board, said: 'The Alternative Board has been operating successfully in the US for nearly 20 years and now has boards established in more than 1,000 towns and cities in the US, Canada and South America.

'The TAB concept aims to provide support for the owners and managers of small and medium-sized businesses to help them to grow and develop more quickly than they might otherwise do.

'The key element of our offering is the creation of peer advisory boards, comprising owners or CEOs from non-competing businesses, who meet monthly to share insights and experiences.'

Board members pay £500 a month, for which they receive, in addition to board meetings, one hour's one-to-one coaching and access to a range of sophisticated online business tools.
