The world franchise market set to meet in Greece

Between the 19th and 22nd of February 2010 the world franchise market will meet at the KEM International Franchise Exhibition, which will be held in Athens at Helexpo Palace Exhibition Centre.
The Exhibition is expected to attract a large number of exhibitors from Greece and the Europe and will provide visitors with the opportunity to be updated on the world franchising market. With the Exhibition offering a wide range of choices, potential investors will be able to choose a Master Franchise that best suits their needs for their country. Each year more than 200 concepts are presented at the exhibition, 60 of which from the international market.
In addition to attracting exhibitors and potential investors from Greece and Europe the franchise also attracts a large amount of people worldwide. The geographical position of Greece is ideal and KEM International Franchise Exhibition is a gateway for the companies to expand their international network in Greece, Europe and the Middle East. As a result the KEM International Franchise Exhibition is considered to be one of the most effective franchise exhibitions in the world and each year more than 17,000 qualified visitors attend the event.
Franchising is a strong market within Greece and, although the country's population does not exceed 11,000,000, it has the highest percentage of self-employed people across Europe. The 192 chains that were functioning in 1999 in Greece have grown to 636, and increase of 332 per cent during the last decade.
In spite of the international crisis, franchising in Greece experiences significant progress. Today there are more than 630 franchise companies operating in Greece, 180 of which are coming from the international market.
During the 11 years the KEM International Franchise Exhibition has been running more than 180 international companies have participated. These companies came in contact with prospect investors from all over the world and have signed thousands of partnerships agreements.
