US chicken restaurant chain expands into Russia

US chicken restaurant chain Church's Chicken is set to expand across Russia through its Regional Franchisee European Active Corp. Church's Chicken's first Russian restaurant will open in Moscow this August and a second is due to open in St. Petersburg in September.

The company aims to open between 25-30 outlets in Russia within the next three years and plans to open 70 restaurants throughout the country within the next seven years. In addition to this under its agreement with European Active Corp the company intends to expand into Belarus and Ukraine.
